LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster City man entered an open guilty plea, admitting he struck and killed 66-year-old Dr. Steven Killough in the crosswalk between N. Prince and W. Chestnut Streets in Lancaster City on Oct. 29, 2021.
Rodolfo Paradas, 53, from the 100 block of Abbeyville Road, pleaded guilty to charges of accidents involving death or personal injury, accidents involving death while not licensed and three summary charges before Lancaster County Judge Merrill Spahn, who will order his sentencing at a later date.

On Oct. 29, 2021, at 5:45 p.m., the Lancaster City Bureau of Police was dispatched to a crash involving a pedestrian at an intersection. It was reported that a white work van struck a pedestrian who was walking in a crosswalk.
Paradas helped the victim to the side of the road before leaving the scene without providing any information about the crash to police.
The victim, Killough, died as a result of his injuries on Nov. 12, 2021.
Paradas didn't have a valid license to drive as it had been previously revoked in Massachusetts, according to police.
