LANCASTER, Pa. — A pair of traffic stops in downtown Lancaster led to arrests and weapons charges against four suspects, Lancaster Police said.
The separate incidents occurred on April 7 and April 10, according to police.
The first incident, police pulled over a Toyota Corolla for a turn signal violation. The driver, Misael Torres, and a 16-year-old male passenger were both found to be carrying firearms, one of which was reported stolen, according to police.
Torres and the passenger were both charged with multiple firearms violations, police said. Torres was also charged with resisting arrest and a traffic violation.
In the second incident, a Lancaster Police officer stopped a Kia Optima for a traffic violation. The occupants were George Mendez, Daniel Ortiz and Armani Pena, all of Lancaster, according to police.
Mendez was found to be in possession of a small amount of marijuana, while Pena and Ortiz were found to be in possession of firearms, one of which was reported stolen, police said.
All three were charged with multiple drug and firearms offenses, according to police.
