EPHRATA, Pa. — A Lancaster County woman is facing multiple charges after she allegedly bit a police officer who was attempting to take her into custody, Ephrata Police said Tuesday.
Mya Lenae Biddle, 19, of New Holland, was allegedly involved in a fight in a parking lot outside a business on the 100 block of Martin Avenue prior to her arrest, which occurred shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Biddle allegedly bit the arresting officer on the hand and further resisted other officers' attempts to subdue her, thrashing her body and clawing and scratching at them, according to police.
In addition to underage drinking, Biddle is charged with aggravated assault against a police officer, resisting arrest, disorderly conduct, and public drunkenness, police said.
She was arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Tony S. Russell, who ordered her to be fitted with an electronic monitoring device and placed on house arrest after posting unsecured bail of $25,000.
