OSHA will investigate death of woman struck by vehicle while working on job site in Lancaster County last week

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — The death of a construction worker who was struck by a vehicle in Lancaster County last week is being investigated by the Occupational Safety and Health Administration, the agency confirmed Monday.

Linetta Wells, 56, of Pottstown, Montgomery County, was pronounced dead at the scene after being struck by a vehicle on a road work area at Stone Mill Road and Plymouth Road in Manor Township. The incident occurred at 7:38 a.m., authorities said.

On Monday, an OSHA representative told FOX43 that the agency is investigating the incident. OSHA has a total of six months to conduct an investigation and release its findings, the representative said.

Wells' body was transported to the Lancaster County Forensic Center, where an autopsy was scheduled. A ruling on the cause and manner of her death is still pending the autopsy results, according to Lancaster County Coroner Dr. Stephen Diamantoni.
