LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Police responded to Donegal High School after a reported threat on Tuesday.
According to the Susquehanna Regional Police Department, on Feb. 20, officers received information about a note left in a bathroom involving a threat. The school district administration and officers locked down the school and conducted a thorough search of the school.
The lockdown reportedly ended shortly after 2 p.m., when officers determined that the school was safe to continue normal activities.
Officials confirmed that there will be an increased police presence on campus for the remainder of the week.
The Susquehanna Regional Police Department is asking families to have serious conversations with their children about the nature of making threats and encourages them to speak with someone if they know anything about a threat being made.
As a reminder, it's a third-degree felony to make a threat that causes a lockdown.
