LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — A Lancaster County man is in custody after assaulting a victim and threatening to kill her.
According to the Northern Lancaster County Regional Police Department, on Oct. 13 around 11:41 a.m., officers responded to a reported assault in progress along the 200 block of Clay School Road in Clay Township.
Officers arrived at the house and spoke with the victim who reported that Thomas Kenneth Hager, 53, from Coopersburg, assaulted her and threatened to burn down her house and kill her.
According to the victim, Hager pulled her hair, smashed her walker and broke a lamp. When she attempted to flee the house, Hager allegedly sat in the front passenger seat of her car and didn't allow her to leave.
When officers spotted Hager, he allegedly mounted a motorized bike and fled through backyards toward a local park. A chase ensued but Hager ultimately crashed the vehicle into a tree along the first block of Harvest Drive.
Hager allegedly resisted arrest but was eventually detained by officers after he was tased three times.
He has been charged with unlawful restraint, fleeing/eluding, stalking, simple assault, resisting arrest and simple assault.
