LITITZ, Pa. — Travelers on a portion of Route 772 (Rothsville Road) in Lancaster County will experience shifting traffic patterns and lane restrictions this week while contractors perform resurfacing work, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) said Tuesday.
Work on a 1.75-mile segment of the roadway began on Monday, Nov. 18, according to PennDOT.
The project consists of drainage upgrades, base repairs, milling and paving from Lititz Run Road at the Lititz Borough line to just west of Groff Avenue in Warwick Township, PennDOT said.
Drainage upgrades and base repairs will be performed this winter. The remainder of the work will be completed next spring.
There will be shifting traffic patterns or single-lane traffic restrictions with flaggers during the project, but no lane closures will be permitted on Route 772 daily from 6-8:30 a.m., PennDOT said.
One lane of traffic will be maintained when the work zone is active. No long-term lane closures are permitted as part of this project, according to PennDOT.
Motorists should be alert and drive with caution through the work zone. All work is expected to be completed by May 30, 2025.
JVI Group, Inc., of York Springs, is the contractor on this roughly $1.2 million project, PennDOT said.
