State Police investigating theft at Lancaster County coffee shop

The suspect allegedly stole an employee's backpack containing a MacBook Pro laptop. The woman reportedly tried to sell it but failed and threw the laptop away.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a reported theft at Corner Coffee Shop in Lancaster County.

According to troopers, on Sept. 18, 2023, police were notified of a theft at the Corner Coffee Shop in Leacock Township. An investigation revealed that an unknown woman entered the coffee shop at 3 p.m. and proceeded into a restricted area. 

Once inside the restricted area, the woman reportedly stole an employee's backpack, which contained a MacBook Pro laptop. 

After leaving the coffee shop, the woman allegedly attempted to sell the stolen laptop at Park City Center. When she was unable to sell the stolen laptop, the woman reportedly threw the laptop into a trashcan where it was later recovered. 

Troopers were able to find video surveillance of the woman and are asking the public to help identify her.
