STRASBURG, Pa. — Strasburg Borough officials on Tuesday announced that a Boil Water Advisory that was put in place last Friday has been lifted.
"Based upon lab results received this morning, the boil water advisory that was put into effect on November 3, 2023 has been lifted," the borough said in a statement.
The Lancaster County borough put the advisory in place Friday morning after an eight-inch water main on East Main Street was accidentally damaged by contractors doing road work.
Residents were told to boil their water, let it rest for a minute, and then let it cool before using, or to use bottled water for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth, washing dishes and food preparation.
