LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — One person is dead after a tree fell onto a car on Saturday.
The incident occurred just after 1 p.m. on Jan. 13, when a tree fell on a car parked in the 600 block of McGrann Boulevard, Manheim Township, with two people inside it.
The owner of the vehicle, Paul Bischoffberger, 74, of Bird in Hand, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the coroner. Another person was treated for minor injuries at the hospital.
The Lancaster County Coroner's Office ruled Bischoffberger's cause of death to be traumatic head injury and the manner accidental.
Officials say they are unsure what caused the tree to fall.
