LANCASTER, Pa. — A Lancaster teenager is facing multiple charges after an alleged shots-fired incident near King Elementary School in the city last week, police claim in charging documents.

Willito Gamalier Colon, 17, of the 200 block of West Vine Street, is one of three people accused of firing multiple shots at another man on the 400 block of Green Street last Friday afternoon, according to Lancaster Police.

He is charged with aggravated assault, discharging a firearm into an occupied structure, carrying a firearm without a license, person not to possess a firearm, recklessly endangering another person, and prohibited offensive weapons.

Colon is being charged as an adult in the case, police said.

According to police, Colon and two other individuals attempted to ambush another man as he stood on the front porch of a home on Green Street, firing multiple shots at him.

The man was not hit, but the home sustained damage, police said. There were also multiple others inside the home who were endangered by the shooting, according to police.

An officer nearby heard the gunfire and drove toward the scene in a patrol car. While on the way, he observed a black Nissan driving in reverse at a high rate of speed and initiated a traffic stop on suspicion that the vehicle was involved in the incident, according to the complaint.

Colon, who was a passenger in the back seat of the vehicle, was detained. Police found a black Glock 27 handgun stashed under the seat where he was sitting, according to the complaint.

Police also used footage taken from Lancaster Safety Coalition surveillance cameras to identify Colon as one of the suspects in the incident, the complaint states.

He was arraigned on the charges on Monday and remanded to Lancaster County Prison after failing to post bail of $100,000. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 30.

Colon was charged in connection to a similar incident in September, according to court records.
