LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — Police in Lebanon County are searching for a man who allegedly assaulted a bartender on Wednesday.
According to the Lebanon City Police Department, on June 12 around 5:20 p.m., a bartender was assaulted inside the Downtown Lounge, located on Cumberland Street.
The bartender reportedly asked two subjects to leave the property due to their behavior but was assaulted by one of them while escorting them out.
After the assault, police reported that both subjects fled the scene.
During the investigation, officers made contact with a resident that lives on Cumberland Street and is a known acquaintance of the two suspects. However, they failed to fully cooperate and delayed the investigation.
On June 13, detectives working to identify the suspects made contact with one of them in a South Gannon St. residence and confirmed his involvement.
While at that location, the second suspect, identified as Ricardo Berrios-Hernandez, 27, jumped from a second-floor window and fled from police. Several residents assisted the police by recalling where he went.
Despite the public's help, the Berrios-Hernandez escaped.
A vehicle owned by Berrios-Hernandez was also located at the same house on S. Gannon St.
Lebanon City Police have charged Berrios-Hernandez with aggravated assault and have a warrant out for his arrest. Police confirmed that the investigation is ongoing with the possibility of additional people being charged.
Anyone with additional information concerning the assault or the whereabouts of Berrios-Hernandez is asked to contact the Lebanon City Police Department.
