LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — A man is in custody following a high-speed chase and crash in Lebanon County.

According to the Lebanon City Police Department, on Dec. 11 at 1:47 a.m., an officer noticed a vehicle with an equipment violation. While following the car, the officer reportedly noticed it committing additional traffic violations and attempted to pull it over.

However, the driver- later identified as Darius Stuckey, 28, from East Petersburg- reportedly ignored the officer and fled the scene at a high rate of speed.

Due to the dangerous nature of the pursuit, the officer decided to end the chase.

Continuing patrol, the officer located the same vehicle moments later at the scene of a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of 5th Avenue and East Weidman Street. According to police, Stuckey's car had crashed, striking a second car and a parked vehicle.

Stuckey was allegedly driving on a suspended driver's license and had no insurance for his car. He was taken into custody at the scene but required transport to a nearby hospital for his injuries.

The second car involved in the crash was operated by a Lebanon City resident. The resident was seriously injured and transported to a local hospital, according to the Lebanon City Police Department.

Stuckey has been charged with aggravated assault by vehicle, fleeing or attempting to elude police, accidents involving death or personal injury while not properly licensed, recklessly endangering another person, possession of marijuana and several traffic violations.
