LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — Police departments across Lebanon County will be on increased lookout for drivers under the influence this weekend, the County District Attorney's Office announced today.
An impaired driving enforcement initiative will take place from Aug. 29 - Sept. 2. Officials say officers from several police departments across the county will conduct roving patrols targeting impaired drivers.
The initiative is part of the Nationwide Impaired Driving Campaign and is designed to reduce alcohol and drug related traffic crashes, the DA's Office said.
Officials provided resources from the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and National Highway Traffic Safety Administration to learn more about the dangers and consequences of impaired driving.
