Coroner dispatched to scene of 2-alarm fire in Lebanon, authorities say

The fire was reported at a home along the 200 block of Mifflin Street in the city shortly before 11 a.m.

LEBANON, Pa. — The Lebanon County Coroner was called to the scene of a two-alarm fire in Lebanon earlier today, authorities said.

The fire was reported shortly before 11 a.m. at a home on the 200 block of Mifflin Street, according to emergency dispatch.

Witnesses of the fire told FOX43 they were worried that the flames would spread to other homes down the street.

“When you look at how far down it is, you start thinking, ‘Oh my God, I might have five minutes to get my stuff and my pets,'" said Amy Townsend, who lives three houses away from where the fire started.

“Having people tell you to get this together and get that together, it’s just something that freaks you out," expressed Townsend. "You don’t expect to hear about this first thing in the morning.”

Police at the scene later confirmed that the county coroner had been dispatched, but there was no immediate word on how many people had died or if any others were injured.
