LEBANON COUNTY, Pa. — Lebanon Transit announced that it will be offering two times in November when fixed route customers will pay no fares.

The first will be Election Day, Tuesday, Nov. 5. All customers riding on fixed route buses will pay zero fare all day long, even on trips happening outside of times when polls are open.

It is all part of an effort to help Drive the Vote by driving community members to polling stations across the country and the ballot drop box at the Lebanon County Municipal Building.

County residents can find where to vote by visiting the county Bureau of Elections. Lebanon Transit has also posted a list of polling stations located within a half mile of fixed bus routes.

Beginning Monday, Nov. 11 through Saturday, Nov. 16, veterans and active duty service members can ride for free on all fixed-route buses in recognition of Veterans Day.

Forms of valid ID include a VA card, active duty card, retired card, driver's license with a veteran logo or DD214 discharge form.

Lebanon Transit is reminding customers that its fixed route buses operate as a flag stop service. A traveler can simply wave to signal a driver to stop anywhere along the bus route. The bus will stop at the closest at the closest safe spot to allow boarding.
