LEBANON, Pa. — UPDATE (Sept. 17): The Pennsylvania State Police released a report identifying the motorcyclist who died in the crash on Sept. 16 as Robert Mesec, 44, of Plattsburg, New York.
Mesec was pronounced dead on scene after being thrown from his motorcycle and striking a guide rail.
Pennsylvania State Police were assisted on scene by Northern Lebanon Fire Services, Fire Police, and PennDOT.
PREVIOUSLY: One person is dead after a motorcycle crash in Lebanon County on Thursday afternoon.
Police say the crash happened just before 3:20 p.m. on Sept. 16 at mile-marker 94 on Interstate 81 southbound.
Both southbound lanes are closed and traffic is diverted through Exit 100.
