'Police incident' in Lebanon resolved and streets are back open, authorities say

The incident was reported shortly after noon on the 800 block of Chestnut Street in the city.

LEBANON, Pa. — Update, 4:30 p.m.: The police incident at the intersection of 9th and Chestnut St has been resolved, Lebanon Police said. Roads are now open for vehicular and pedestrian traffic.  

The investigation into the incident remains open and more information will be released when it has been completed, according to police.

Emergency personnel have been dispatched to the scene of an active police incident in Lebanon.

It was first reported shortly after noon along the 800 block of Chestnut Street, according to emergency dispatch, which had few other details regarding the incident, including whether there were any injuries.

The incident temporarily closed several streets in the area, including Eighth to Tenth Streets and Walnut to Cumberland Streets, dispatch said. According to FOX43's crew at the scene, the roads were reopened just after 4:15 p.m.
