LEBANON, Pa. — A Lebanon man will serve a prison term of 106 months after pleading guilty to cocaine trafficking, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam announced Friday.
Warionex Martinez-Medina, 35, was sentenced this week by U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson, Karam said.
He previously admitted to accepting a package he believed contained more than 2 kilograms of cocaine, according to Karam. He was also found to be in possession of a firearm in furtherance of that offense.
The drugs and the weapon were found by law enforcement who executed a search warrant at Martinez-Medina's Lebanon home.
The police also found more than $123,000 in cash, Karam said.
The case was investigated by the U.S. Postal Inspection Service and the Pennsylvania State Police. Assistant U.S. Attorney Carlo D. Marchioli prosecuted the case.
