One killed in Mifflin County shooting

The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Carrie Shoop. William Shoop, 76, has reportedly been arrested.

MIFFLIN COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police Troop G investigating a deadly shooting.

According to PSP, the shooting happened along Snook Road in Decatur Township, Mifflin County on June 5 at 4:41 p.m. 

The victim has been identified as 64-year-old Carrie Shoop. William Shoop, 76, has reportedly been arrested.

According to PSP, troopers responded to a shots-fired call in Decatur Township. At the scene, troopers reportedly saw William come in and out of the home several times. He eventually threw a rifle onto a trampoline and surrendered himself to police. 

Carrie Shoop was found dead inside the home from multiple gunshot wounds. 

Williams has been charged with criminal homicide and is incarcerated at Mifflin County Correctional Facility.
