Police locate missing boy safely

State police say they have located the missing boy safely.

DAUPHIN COUNTY, Pa. — UPDATE (2:50 p.m.): Authorities say they have located the missing boy safely.

PREVIOUSLY: State Police are searching for a missing 6-year-old boy with autism.

Authorities say that Jonathan Pringle, 6, was last seen at his home in the 300 block of Market St. in Lykens around 4 a.m. on Aug. 23.

Pringle was last seen wearing blue striped pajamas.

He is described as standing about four feet tall and weighing 40 pounds. He autistic and semi-verbal, police say. However, he does not respond to his name being called.

Authorities also note that Pringle is not wearing any shoes, and has an affinity for animals and swimming pools.

Police are asking anyone with a pool in the area of Market St. in Lykens to make sure that their fences are locked and that they have checked their properties.

There are over 100 people searching for Pringle, and authorities are using K-9 units, drones, and helicopters while attempting to find him.
