Get into the holiday spirit at the Warehime-Myers Mansion

Hanover Area Historical Society is hosting its 14th Annual Christmas Tree Tours at the Warehime-Myers Mansion.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Christmas time means Christmas trees.

And at the Warehime-Myers Mansion in York County, you'll see more than 50 of them all decked out.

Hanover Area Historical Society is hosting its 14th Annual Christmas Tree Tours through Jan. 11.

"Every year we decorate it with Christmas trees to spread some Christmas cheer, decorate it and make it look really pretty," said Kenny Wright, Youth Ambassador for the HAHS.

Students, local organizations and community members volunteer to decorate trees that are put on display throughout the 1913 neo-classical building.

HAHS took the building over in 2007, giving tours and sharing bits of the building's history.

Around 2010, "one of our longtime members Jim Schuman, started these Christmas tree tours. It started with about 12 trees, and it's grown to 55 trees this year," said Wright.

Every year, people are able to take a tour of the trees in the mansion.

The tours are on select days through January and are $7 per person. All of the proceeds go right back to HAHS.

"We use the funds to give back to the community with a bunch of free events," Wright said.
