HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Harrisburg Holiday Parade will return to the city on Saturday.
The parade will step off on Nov. 23 at 10 a.m. in downtown Harrisburg.
This year's theme is "Toon Town," and there will be 100 entries, featuring 7 marching bands, 15 dance and step teams, decorated floats, Santa Claus, and more.
Additionally, there will be 3 giant cold-air parade balloons provided by Dynamic Displays, including Kermit the Frog, Kung Fu Panda and Abby Cadabby.
Two performance areas will be setup, including on Second St., with one located in front of the stage on Market St. and one on State St.
After the parade, there will be announcement of parade winners at Strawberry Square, including cash prizes.
This year, there are cash prizes of $500, $300, and $200 for the top 3 high school marching bands, trophies and cash prizes of $150, $100, and $50 for the top 3 dance teams, and a trophy and $100 gift card for the Best in Theme entry.
