May the Fourth Be With You | Celebrating Star Wars' informal holiday

May the 4th is celebrated around the globe as Star Wars Day, and our team got in on the fun.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — May the 4th is celebrated around the globe as Star Wars Day.

May 4, 2024 is no different!

According to IGN, the origin of the holiday is based solely on the pun that the famous line from the movie "May the Force be with you" sounds a lot like "May the fourth be with you."

Of course, with the advent of people saying the phrase on social media, Disney and retailers took note and now mark the occasion each year with merchandise and other releases.

Here are a few ways you can celebrate your Star Wars fandom this year:

Visit the World's first Star Wars-themed haunted house

Lincoln Mill Haunted House invites Star Wars fans nationwide to a special, exclusive one-day-only Star Wars-inspired event on Saturday, May 4.

Enjoy some Star Wars blue milk

The drink is being offered in half-gallon jugs at Cub, Hy-Vee, Coborn's, Walmart and Target, according to the release, and will be available through July.

Buy some new Star Wars LEGO sets, FUNKO Pops, and enjoy sales

Retailers are offering deals with May the Fourth.

Enjoy the films, with some returning to theaters and others on Disney+

The whole collection of Star Wars films is available for viewing, as well as other spin off shows that are available to be streamed.

On FOX43 Morning News, reporter Robert Stover stopped by the set with his collection of Star Wars related items and apparel.

Our team had a little fun ahead of May the Fourth!
