HARRISBURG, Pa. — You can start your engines and head over to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex as hundreds of collector cars are up for grabs this week.
This is all part of Mecum Auctions annual collector car auction featuring Corvettes, Thunderbirds, Camaros, Broncos and more.
"I think of all of the auctions we do...this is my favorite in terms of the people that come to the auction - their enthusiasm, their knowledge about cars so we're very excited to be here again," said Dave Magers, the CEO of Mecum Auctions.
This auction is Mecum's only auction in the Northeast region, and it brings in crowds from not only central Pennsylvania, but several different states.
"This is the only auction we come to that we see lines of people outside the door before we open the doors at 8 a.m.," Magers said.
And although there is an auction going on, Magers explained they are first and foremost a car show.
"You're going to see just about anything that you're looking for, anything from the early 1900's to actually some late model exotics as well and everything in between," Magers said.
You may even see some motorcycles and road art as well.
Every day the auction for road art begins after 9 am and the vehicle auction starts at 10 am,
Tickets for general admission to the show are $30 per person at the door and online; children 12 and younger can come in for free. The event runs through Saturday, July 27.
