Penn State bans tailgating at 2020 football games

Penn State has banned tailgating around Beaver Stadium and on-campus when football games resume.

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. — Tailgating will be banned around Beaver Stadium and campus when Penn State football games resume in October.

University officials sent a letter to students, alumni, and fans telling them that if anyone is allowed at games, it will be families of players and athletic staff.

Penn State is also asking people to avoid game-day visits to State College and avoid large watch parties.
