PENNSYLVANIA, USA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike has announced that its *11 emergency number is down across the state.
The announcement was made on the official Pennsylvania Turnpike Facebook page on Tuesday night. Turnpike officials encourage drivers to call 9-1-1 if they have an emergency on the road.
It's unclear at this time why the number is out or when it will be restored.
