Bottling facility in Dauphin County closing down, causing over 120 layoffs

HARRISBURG, Pa. — The PepsiCo, Inc. bottling facility in Dauphin County is set to close down its production operations, causing nearly 130 layoffs.

The closure of the facility on Dec. 28 will lay off 127 employees at the PepsiCo facility at 941 Dana Drive in Harrisburg, according to a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) notice. 

The company also announced on Monday, Oct. 28 that it will also be closing its Chicago bottling facility which will affect 150 workers because of "physical limitations."

The reason for these closures has not been disclosed.
