PERRY COUNTY, Pa. — A Perry County man already accused of sexually assaulting two juveniles is facing additional charges after several other alleged victims have come forward, according to State Police.
Jeromy Paul Baum, 46, of New Bloomfield, was charged last month with involuntary deviate sexual intercourse with a person less than 16, corruption of minors, and unlawful contact with a minor in connection to his alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old male victim. Following his arrest on those charges, a second victim came forward accusing Baum of raping her when she was between the ages of 8 and 9, according to police.
Baum was charged with rape of a child, statutory sexual assault, sexual assault and aggravated indecent assault of a child in the second case, police said.
In the weeks since his initial arrest on March 20, four other victims have come forward with similar allegations against Baum, police said.
According to criminal complaints filed by investigators:
- A female victim accused Baum of raping her in her bedroom when she was 15 years old and living in Shermans Dale.
- A male victim accused Baum of sexually assaulting him multiple times in his Shermans Dale home when he was approximately 8 1/2 years old. Baum was the victim's baseball coach at the time, the victim related.
- A female victim accused Baum of raping her multiple times, beginning when she was 10 years old. Baum's first alleged sexual assault occurred prior to a family camping trip, the victim reported.
- A male victim accused Baum of sexually assaulting him in 2002, when the victim was 7 years old. The alleged sexual abuse continued until the victim was about 15, he reported.
Baum is charged with 22 additional felony counts related to the accusations from the four victims, according to police. He remains in Perry County Prison after bail was denied.
