DUNCANNON, Pa. — Crews in Perry County battled a fire that left a home destroyed Saturday evening.
According to the Dauphin Middle Paxton Fire Company, crews arrived at a home in Wheatfield Township just past 6:30 p.m. for a reported structure fire.

Once fire officials arrived, crews transitioned to defensive operations due to the fire volume on the second floor. Additional crews were called to help fight the flames, and a portable pond was used as another water supply.
Firefighters were at the scene for three hours until the fire was under control.
There have been no reported injuries.
