Over 7,000 people temporarily without power in Lebanon County

According to Met-Ed's energy outage map, nearly 7,500 customers were affected by the outage.

Thousands of people were temporarily without power across Lebanon County Friday evening. 

According to Met-Ed's energy outage map, nearly 7,500 customers were originally affected by the outage. 

The website estimates power will be completely restored by 11 p.m. on Friday night.

According to a Met-Ed spokesperson, a circuit breaker opened along a substation near Third and Green Streets, prompting the power outage. Officials with the company are investigating.

FOX43 reached out to Met-Ed for the cause of the outage but has not received a response back as of this writing.
