YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Sprouts Farmers Market, an American supermarket chain, is now open in York. It’s a grocery store that specializes in fresh, natural and organic food.
From today through Sunday, Sept. 15, they’re having a “pop-up party” outside the store where customers will get a chance to taste seasonal produce from the tasting bar, participate in a “guess the weight contest” and scavenger hunt.
The first 100 in-store shoppers on Friday and Saturday will receive a free "Goodness it’s Free" reusable goodie bag filled with products and samples. The first 400 guests will receive a free long stem rose from Falcon Farms Floral.
Sprouts Farmers Market works with local farmers and vendors to deliver fresh produce to customers. Some of these farms include Harnish Farms, Frecon Farms, Stauffer Huling Farms, Hess Brothers Fruit Company, Lady Moon Farms, Copenhaver Produce and King Family Farms.
The store also has a food rescue program that donates groceries that are no longer fit for sale but are still edible to the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank.
The store is located at 351 Loucks Rd. Ste. C-1 in York.
