HARRISBURG, Pa. — A Harrisburg synagogue was one of more than two dozen synagogues across Pennsylvania to receive bomb threats Tuesday morning.
Temple Ohev Sholom, a synagogue located on the 2300 block of N. Front Street in the city, was emailed a bomb threat Tuesday morning and alerted authorities at about 9:30 a.m., according to city spokesperson Matt Maisel.
Police were dispatched to the synagogue with a bomb-sniffing K9 officer and determined there was no threat, Maisel said.
As a precaution, police are checking the city's other synagogues, according to Maisel.
A total of 25 synagogues across the Commonwealth were emailed bomb threats on Tuesday, Maisel said.
