USGA donating 25% of U.S. Women's Open ticket sales to Lancaster ExtraGive

The United States Golf Association will donate 25% of Wednesday's 2024 U.S. Women's Open ticket sales to the foundation.

LANCASTER COUNTY, Pa. — The United States Golf Association makes it a priority to support its host communities.

With that in mind, the USGA will be donating 25% of all U.S. Women's Open ticket sales during the 24-hour period on Wednesday, Nov. 15 to the Lancaster ExtraGive.

"If you haven't purchased your tickets yet for the U.S. Open and you're from the Lancaster community, you know what this foundation does," said USGA Championship Director Bryan Megee. "Wednesday is the day to do it because we're going to write a check back to the foundation to help those 400 plus organizations that they assist every single year."

The donation is par for the course when it comes to the way the USGA operates. Lancaster County is a rising star on a prestigious list of host areas.

"2023 was Pebble Beach, the first time the women have ever played there and it was our highest purse in the history of the championship," added Megee. "2024 is Lancaster, next year is Erin Hills which hosted the men's open in 2017 and then it's Riviera. Lancaster Country Club and the community should be very proud of the list they are associated because it's the top golf courses in the country and even in the world."

The USGA will calculate how many tickets were sold during the 24-hour period and 25% of that amount is going back to the community.  The 2024 U.S. Women's Open takes place from May 28th thru June 2nd at Lancaster Country Club.
