PENNSYLVANIA, USA — Teachers and school staff members can pick up a free hot coffee from Wawa during its "Cheers to Classrooms" initiative.

From Monday, Sept. 2 through Sunday, Sept. 15, staff members can pick up any free-size hot coffee. To redeem the offer, the "everyday heroes in the classroom" simply need to inform the associate at the register that they are a member of a local school system. The offer is valid in-store only, not on the Wawa app and delivery services.

"As everyday heroes of the classroom return back to school, we’re delighted to toast a new year by providing free coffee to teachers and school staff for the first two weeks of September,” said Dave Simonetti, the senior director of store operations for Wawa. “We hope this small gesture shows our deep appreciation for everything educators and school staff do for children in the community.”

The offer is valid across the mid-Atlantic region, including Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina and Washington D.C.

In central Pa. there's currently four Wawa stores:

  • PA-41 in Salisbury Township, Lancaster County
  • Lincoln Highway East in East Lampeter Township, Lancaster County
  • Miller Road in East Hempfield Township, Lancaster County
  • South Reading Road in Ephrata, Lancaster County

A store will open in Middletown, Dauphin County on September 19.
