Wet road conditions cause fatal Snyder County crash

According to Pennsylvania State Police, the driver lost traction of his vehicle on the wet roadway due to excessive speed.

SNYDER COUNTY, Pa. — Pennsylvania State Police in Selinsgrove are investigating a crash that left one man dead in Snyder County.

According to officers, the crash occurred while Glenn Bossinger, 63 of Thompsontown, was traveling north on Route 235, north of Martin Lane, Spring Township, Snyder County. 

Bossinger reportedly exited the northbound travel lane while going down the hill and lost traction on the wet roadway due to excessive speed.

Police stated that after exiting the roadway, the vehicle traveled through a yard in the 15000 block of State Route 235. The vehicle then continued to travel in a northwest direction until it struck a large tree with its passenger side.

The Snyder County Coroner pronounced Bossinger deceased at the scene.

The roadway was closed for about an hour and thirty minutes while crews assisted the scene.
