Indiantown Gap Cemetery unloaded wreaths for national ceremony on Saturday

The Indiantown Gap Cemetery received 10 box trucks full of wreathes for the national Wreaths Across America ceremony on Dec. 14.

EAST HANOVER, Pa. — 43,000 wreathes from Maine arrived at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery on Friday to prepare for the country-wide Wreaths Across America ceremony on Dec. 14.

The wreaths were delivered to the Lebanon County cemetery in 10 box trucks.

"I feel great, we probably had 300 volunteers today, usually we get out of here around 12:30 we were done at 10:30 today, so it's great. We get more volunteers every year to come out and load the trucks, so that's a good thing," said Craig Butt, chairman of Distribution and Security for Wreaths Across America.

On Dec. 14, volunteers will place a wreath on each grave. The general public is invited to the cemetery at noon. A shuttle service will be provided since no parking is allowed at the cemetery.
