YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A 17-year-old from Mississippi was struck and killed in York County.
According to the York County Coroner's Office, Quinterrion Smith, 17, from Coffeeville, Mississippi was in the area with his basketball team. He was reportedly crossing the road with a group of friends on Thursday, July 11 just after 10 p.m. in the area of Route 30 and North Hills Road when he was struck by a car.
Smith suffered from critical injuries and was pronounced dead at WellSpan York Hospital on Friday, July 12 at 11:55 p.m.
Springettsbury Township Police are investigating and the driver is reportedly cooperating with police.
