YORK COUNTY, Pa. — An 18-year-old York County man is one of three suspects charged in a shooting Saturday night near Lock 12 of the Holtwood Dam in Lower Chanceford Township, York County.

Initial reports Saturday night indicated the shooting came after an altercation involving more than 50 people, and that multiple people were struck by gunfire.

But State Police said in a press release Monday that there were no injuries as a result of the shooting.

Colby Clark, of Brogue, is charged with felony counts of possessing a firearm with an obliterated serial number and carrying a loaded weapon, and a misdemeanor count of simple assault in connection to the alleged shooting, according to State Police.

Clark was taken into custody along with another man, Roman Cole, and a juvenile suspect after the shooting.

Cole is charged with felony counts of aggravated assault and carrying a loaded weapon and misdemeanor counts of tampering with evidence, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault.

Clark is accused of firing multiple shots from a .380-caliber handgun, while Cole allegedly fired a 9mm handgun into the air, struck another person with the gun, and pointed it at another person during an altercation between their group and another group of people at about 9:30 p.m.

According to police, the fight began when someone in Clark's group "touched a girl" who was with a second group of people, according to one of the victims interviewed by investigators. The two groups began arguing, while other bystanders attempted to intervene and de-escalate the situation, witnesses told police.

Multiple witnesses reported hearing Clark claim he was carrying a gun in the black fanny pack he was wearing, police said. As the altercation turned physical, Clark allegedly took out the gun and fired multiple shots in succession. Cole, who was with Clark, also took out a handgun and fired, witnesses told police. One of the members of Clark's group was heard using racial slurs and threatened to kill anyone "who hit on (him)," witnesses said.

Responding troopers detained one of the juvenile suspects shortly after the shooting, according to police. The juvenile was found to be in possession of a black fanny pack containing a .380 handgun.

Clark, Cole and the second juvenile suspect were taken into custody a few minutes later, according to police. They were found near a pickup truck belonging to Clark, police said.

When questioned by police, Cole allegedly admitted that he fired a 9mm handgun into the air after Clark "was getting beat up" by multiple people. After firing his handgun, Cole said, he fled into the woods and disassembled the handgun, throwing the parts into the woods.

Clark denied ever owning a black fanny pack or a .380 handgun, police said.
