HARRISBURG, Pa. — A York County man will serve up to 10 years in prison for dealing methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Gerard M. Karam announced Wednesday.

Craig Smith, 53, had previously pleaded guilty to charges related to drug trafficking, Karam said in a press release. U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer P. Wilson sentenced him to the 10-year mandatory minimum for trafficking more than 500 grams of meth.

Smith admitted to his involvement in running a methamphetamine trafficking operation out of his Windsor home.

On May 6, 2020, Smith said, he attempted to acquire more than 600 grams of meth from a drug dealer in Philadelphia. He was arrested by police, who also found him to be in possession of a handgun.

Karam said his co-conspirators, Kimberly Forney, Cody Mitzel, Christa Tabor, and Sheridan Lee Boothe, were also charged in the case and pleaded guilty.

Forney was sentenced to 14 years in prison; Mitzel received a three-year prison term; Booth was sentenced to 100 months in prison, while Tabor is awaiting sentencing.

The case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Michael Consiglio.
