MANCHESTER, Pa. — A York County man is facing multiple charges after police say he used a crossbow to fire an arrow into his neighbor's house.
Dennis Brown, 39, was arrested after police reviewed surveillance video footage of the incident, which occurred Tuesday on the 700 block of Cassel Road, according to Newberry Township Police.
The victim told police he found the arrow lodged in his bathroom wall. The arrow punctured the exterior wall, traveled through the home, and lodged in the all above the victim's toilet, according to police.
If the victim had been in the bathroom at the time, the arrow would have struck him, police said.
The victim told police Brown punched him in the face multiple times when he went to Brown's house to confront him about the incident.
Responding officers found a black crossbow lying in Brown's driveway, police said.
When interviewed by police, Brown said he and his neighbor had been having personal issues and admitted to intentionally firing an arrow into his home.
He also admitted to punching the victim several times when confronted about it, police said.
A neighbor's exterior security camera footage showed Brown loading the crossbow prior to the incident, police said. While there is no footage of him actually firing the weapon, the sound of the crossbow firing can be heard on the video, police claim.
Police estimated the damage to the victim's home at $500, according to the criminal complaint.
Brown is charged with aggravated assault, possessing an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, simple assault, harassment and criminal mischief.
