YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A clinical error was recently discovered in 400 mail-in ballots sent to York County residents.
According to the York County Office of Elections and Voter Registration, the error resulted in duplicate mail-in ballots being sent to 400 votes in York County.
The office is reportedly contacting all affected voters with instructions on how to destroy or surrender to the Elections Office any duplicate ballot received.
"While we recognize the significance of this error, we continue to have multiple processes in place to ensure that no person can submit two votes, regardless of any duplicate ballots received," the Office said in a press release.
Any evidence suggesting an individual has or attempted to cast more than one vote will be referred to the York County District Attorney's Office for investigation.
