First responders battle fire at York County warehouse

Firefighters at the scene say the fire was in the saw dust mill, and first responders are still working to put out hotspots.

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — First responders battled an overnight blaze at a York County warehouse on Wednesday.

The two-alarm fire broke out at 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 4 at Pixelle Distribution Center on York Road in North Codorus Township, York County, according to the County's 911 Dispatch.

Firefighters at the scene say the fire was in the saw dust mill, which is surrounded by wood. The blaze was brought under control around 3:50 a.m., but first responders are still working to put out hotspots and will likely stick around for a while in case anything sparks again, firefighters said.

Crews at the scene say a firefighter was injured, but the injury was not severe and the firefighter went back to work.

The North Codorus Township Fire Company is investigating the incident.

This is a developing story. FOX43 has a crew at the scene and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
