RED LION, Pa. — One firefighter went to the hospital for their efforts to control a blaze at a Red Lion home, according to Alliance Fire and Rescue.
The fire broke out at a home on the 200 block of South Main Street in Red Lion around 1:21 a.m. on Sept. 6, York County 911 Dispatch said.
One firefighter was sent to the hospital for dehydration and was checked and released, Alliance Fire and Rescue's deputy fire chief Chad Arnold said. No other injuries were reported, and the coroner was not called to the scene.
Arnold says the cause of the fire is yet unknown, but most of the damage is concentrated in the rear and right side of the two units in the building.
The Red Cross was contacted to assist three people displaced by the fire. Arnold says the units are not livable right now, but they may be able to be repaired.
Route 24 (South Main Street) is closed in both directions between Martin and Henrietta Streets, according to officials.
Officials say the blaze has been marked under control. Pennsylvania State Police and Alliance Fire and Rescue are investigating the incident. The Fire Marshal will also conduct an investigation.
This is a developing story. FOX43 has a crew at the scene and will provide updates as more information becomes available.
