DELTA, Pa. — State Police announced the arrest of a Maryland man for his alleged involvement in the theft of several handguns from a vehicle in York County in October.
The alleged incident occurred on October 16 in Peach Bottom Township, according to State Police.
Investigators dispatched to the area of Misty Hill Drive and Delta Ridge Drive learned that items had been taken from several vehicles, including four handguns from one car, police said.
Trooper Austin Billet of the York Patrol Unit obtained surveillance video from multiple sources, which depicted two suspects and a suspect vehicle.
After contacting Harford County, Maryland Sheriff’s Department, Billet learned they had several similar incidents and the same two suspects on video surveillance, according to police.
On October 19, a detective with Harford County Sheriff’s Department advised Billet they took one of the suspects, 43-year-old Frankie Forrester, into custody.
Forrester had been driving the vehicle seen in the video surveillance from the neighborhoods on Misty Hill Drive and Delta Ridge Drive, police claim.
Upon executing a search warrant on the vehicle, Harford County Sheriff’s Department located one of the handguns that was stolen from the vehicle on the 200 block of Misty Hill Drive, according to police.
On Monday, Billet obtained an arrest warrant for the charges of Receiving Stolen Property, Theft from a Motor Vehicle, and Possession of a Firearm for Forrester, who is being held at Harford County Detention Center, according to police.
The case will proceed once Forrester is extradited from Maryland, police said.
