YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Two people were rescued on Friday evening after they got injured while hiking in Chanceford Township.
Fire and rescue crews were dispatched to the scene of the rescue which was near the Susquehanna River, around 5:27 p.m.
Rescue teams had to take a boat to get to a place where they could hike to reach the two injured people.
According to fire officials, a rope rescue system was used to rescue the hikers and they were in care of EMS by 9:30 p.m.
The incident was cleared shortly after 10 p.m.
No word on what injuries the hikers suffered or how they got them.
