YORK, Pa. — Want a chance to mash some dingers with former slugger Jose Canseco?
You have a chance this weekend.
The York Revolution announced the two-time World Series champion will host and participate in a home run derby this Sunday at WellSpan Park.
The York area community is invited to catch the legendary slugger in action.
Open to baseball and softball players of all ages, the Jose Canseco Home Run Derby Challenge presented by TBW Charities, Inc. will begin at 11 a.m. and feature three age groups (12 and under, 13 to 17, and 18 and older), each of which will compete in four rounds of competition.
Players that advance to the final round will go head-to-head with Canseco himself.
Members of the public are invited to attend and watch the contestants and MLB great via general admission tickets available for just $10 at www.yorkrevolution.com/canseco.

Canseco, 59, won a pair of World Series titles during his 16-year career in Major League Baseball. He was most famous for becoming the first player in Major League history to hit 40 home runs and steal 40 bases in the same season in 1988.
He and fellow slugger Mark McGwire formed the "Bash Brothers" tandem when both were members of the A's in the late 1980's.
Canseco was a member of the A's from 1985 to 1992. His career also included stops with the Texas Rangers (1992-94), the Boston Red Sox (1995-96), a second stint with the A's (1997), the Toronto Blue Jays (1998), the Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1999-2000), the New York Yankees (2000) and the Chicago White Sox (2001).
Canseco won the American League Rookie of the Year award, the AL MVP Award, four Silver Slugger Awards, and made six All-Star Game appearances. He finished his career with 462 home runs.
