RED LION, Pa. — A York County woman has been charged in connection to the fatal overdose of a man found in her home earlier this year, State Police said Tuesday.

Kianna Brackett, 39, of Red Lion, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter, possession with intent to distribute, endangering the welfare of children, tampering with evidence, criminal use of a communication facility and reckless endangerment following an investigation of the death of 18-year-old Tyler Moser, whose body was found in a bedroom at Brackett's home on May 17, according to State Police.

Moser's body was found by Brackett's 13-year-old daughter, who was in a relationship with him, police stated. Initial testing at the scene by the York County Coroner's Office determined he had methadone and THC in his system at the time of his death. An autopsy later determined Moser died of Bronchopneumonia complicated by methadone toxicity, according to police.

Investigators found Brackett's prescription methadone in a common area of her home, and an examination determined three of the prescription bottles were partially empty in advance of their use date, police said.

Investigators also found Moser's phone case but could not locate the phone itself, which indicated that it had been disposed of, according to police.

An examination of Brackett's cell phone recovered text messages indicating she assisted Moser in a drug transaction and also provided him with methadone. The communications also indicated Brackett knew about and supported her daughter's relationship with Moser, and that she often snuck him into the home so they could be together, police said.

State Police confirmed that the investigation remains ongoing.
