Police investigating crash that killed 1, injured 2

YORK COUNTY, Pa. — Update, Oct. 7 The Fairview Township Police Department released additional details following a fatal crash that closed Lewisberry Road for several hours Tuesday evening.

A sedan and a large SUV were involved in a head-on collision; evidence from the scene indicated that one vehicle crossed the double yellow lines before the crash.

According to police, one person died and two suffered injuries as a result of the crash. The York County Coroner's Office says the deceased is 44-year-old Dimitra Sideras, from West Manchester Township.

The investigation is currently ongoing.

Previously: All lanes were closed along a York County road following a fatal crash.

York County 911 confirmed that the coroner was called to the scene just before 5:40 p.m. and one person was transported to a local hospital.

According to 511PA, the crash occurred along PA 382 between Front Street, Siddonsburg Road and Old Quaker Road in Fairview Township. It involved two cars carrying three people in total.
