YORK COUNTY, Pa. — A York County man killed in a farm accident earlier this month died of multiple blunt force injuries, coroner Pamela M. Gay said Monday.

Lester Stewart, 68, of Fawn Township, died on Dec. 2 at WellSpan York Hospital after his vehicle struck a tractor dragging a manure spreader, lost control, left the roadway, and crashed, Gay said.

Conditions were foggy at the time of the crash, and Stewart was not wearing his seatbelt, according to Gay.

The crash occurred at about 8:45 p.m. on the 300 block of Marstellar Road in Hopewell Township.

Stewart was taken to York Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries at 11:55 p.m., according to Gay.

An autopsy performed last week in Lehigh County determined Stewart died of blunt force injuries, Gay said.

His manner of death was ruled accidental.
